1. Legal notice

This website, davant.cat, is owned by Webkomodo (Max Zhou), registered at Bergheimerstr. 85, 47228 Duisburg, Germany, (VAT ID pending). Contact: hola@davant.cat.

Davant is an online service that translates and publishes menus for restaurants, bars and cafés in several languages.

2. Terms of service

The service is for businesses and professionals. Davant reads the menu you upload and produces a machine translation using artificial intelligence. Before publishing, you must review it and expressly confirm that prices and allergens are correct. The menu content, including allergen information, is the restaurant's responsibility.

Price: the Davant plan, €79 setup (diagnosis and six-language digital menu) and €20 per month (unlimited menu changes, Google profile upkeep, review reply drafts and a monthly report). Prices exclude VAT, which is applied as required by law. Payment is handled by Stripe and the invoice is sent by email.

No minimum term: cancel anytime by emailing hola@davant.cat; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month. The setup fee is not refundable once the diagnosis has been delivered.

The public menu page and QR code stay online while the plan is active, and for at least 3 months after cancelling.

Davant prepares the diagnosis with the help of artificial intelligence from the business's public information (website, Google profile, social media) and what you provide. It is guidance and does not guarantee results.

Davant's liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.

3. Privacy

Data controller: Webkomodo (Max Zhou), Bergheimerstr. 85, 47228 Duisburg, Germany, hola@davant.cat.

Data processed: business name and town, email address, the links and files you provide (menu, photos, website, social media) and billing details. Payment data is handled by Stripe and never seen by Davant.

Purpose and legal basis: providing the service you order (GDPR article 6.1.b) and meeting tax obligations (GDPR article 6.1.c). No marketing emails are sent.

Processors: Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI reading and translation of the menu), Stripe (payments) and Resend (service emails). Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards set by the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses.

Retention: unpaid orders are deleted after 90 days. Paid orders are kept while the menu is published and afterwards for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights: you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing by emailing hola@davant.cat. You can also complain to the competent data protection authority, for example the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

4. Cookies

This site uses no tracking or analytics cookies. Only the technical data strictly needed to run the service is used.
